Frequently Asked Questions
  1. How can I find out if I was in an approved subject matter program or have passed an approved subject matter examination?

If you have a Multiple Subject credential and it has printed on the front "General Subjects", you were in an approved subject matter program. You need to check Choice B (Completed a CCTC approved Liberal Studies Waiver Program) on HOUSSE I, Part I. You need to attach a copy of your credential as evidence of completion of the approved program.

If you have a Multiple Subject credential and it has printed on the front "General Subjects - Examination" you passed an approved subject matter exam. You need to check the box that says "I have passed a CCTC approved subject matter exam" on the Certificate of Compliance. You do not need to complete HOUSSE I. All you need to do is sign the certificate and attach a copy of your credential as evidence of the exam.
