Asbestos Notification to Parents:
In compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), inspections were performed in the spring of 1998 on each of our schools for building materials containing asbestos. The inspection findings and the asbestos management plans have been on file at each school site and at the District Office since that time.
As required by AHERA, a 3-year reinspection was completed in 2005. That report is in the school’s Asbestos Management Plan and is available for anyone to review during normal school hours.
Asbestos revisions were performed in 2002 and 2003. Regular asbestos inspections will be performed in 2008.
