Focus on Science
Marguerite Hahn Elementary School promotes the pursuit of inquiry and exploration through a strong focus on science. With the support of past grants from the National Science Foundation, Hewlett-Packard, Auto-desk Foundation, The Sonoma County Water Agency, and a Christa McAuliffe Presidential Teacher Fellowship, students benefit from real science research and field work. Hahn students gain understanding of how the natural world works and the interrelationship of themselves in their environment. They apply their understandings to solve real-world problems through Project-Based Learning. Much of the curriculum, literacy development and language arts, math, social science, and technological competency is integrated through science.
