Project-Based Learning
Students at Monte Vista regularly participate in Project Based Learning (PBL). PBL enables students to demonstrate high levels of thinking and apply skills and concepts from across the curriculum. Project-Based Learning always presents a problem or challenge, an action plan designed by the student, and an evaluation component. Students use criteria to monitor their project's development and make changes much as they would in a real-world situations. The goal of PBL is for students to become planners, problem solvers, and use their knowledge in their daily lives.
