Welcome to Food Service

Welcome to Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District Food Services Department. The Food Services Department will hopefully be a big part of your children’s daily experience, and we hope to make that part of their day as enjoyable as we can. With this in mind the following are guidelines that will make the first days smoother for your child in the cafeteria:
• Returning students may use last year’s (2018-2019) application for the first 30 school days of the new year. After those 30 days have expired, if a new application (2019-2020) has not been filed with the Food Service Department, then
your student’s status will change to “paid” status even if your student had been free or reduced, and you will be responsible for all charges that your student incurs.

Please fill out a new (2019-2020) application or access the online application at http://crpusd.schoollunchapp.com as soon as you can to avoid having your student’s status change.

  • For all student applications (new and existing students) the Free and Reduced Application Processor has 10 (ten) business days to process applications from the time she receives it on her desk.
If you are a new student to the district, please send breakfast and lunch money to cover these first ten (10) days of school, so your student does not incur charges to their account.
You are responsible for all charges to your students account before your student has been accepted as a free or reduced student.

  • Students are allowed to charge meals. The meal program is a pre-pay program. You are responsible for all charges to your students account. Parents/guardians shall be notified whenever their account has a negative balance.

  •  • You may put money in your child’s account at any time either online at mySchoolBucks.com or by cash or check to the cafeteria.

  • Unless change is requested by the student, all monies will be added to the student’s meal account.

    • You may check your child’s balance online or by calling the Food Services office: 707-588-5621. You may pay your child’s balance online or by cash or check to the cafeteria staff. If paying online the system credits your child’s account automatically.
•You may access your students account by using our MySchoolBucks online payment system or by calling Customer Support at 1-855- 832-5226.

    • CRPUSD is unable to accommodate credit or debit cards at the cafeterias.
    • The Food Services Department does not allow for students to transfer money from their account to another student account even if it is a sibling however, money can be transferred by calling the Food Service office: 707-588-5621.
    • Please ensure that your children have money in their account or have cash to pay for each day’s meals.

New guidelines have been established for serving children with Food Allergies and Food Intolerances:

If your student has turned in a “Doctors note” describing a food allergy or intolerance the CRPUSD child nutrition department is now being directed to have an updated form each year. We are no longer able to accept a doctor’s note on a prescription pad as sufficient information. We must have the California Department of Education’s form on file in the Child Nutrition Department office before we are able to accommodate any special dietary need. This form is available on our website or we can mail you a copy. Accommodation of any non-life threatening food intolerance will be done on a case by case basis.

Policy: All cafeterias will display the updated nondiscrimination poster in a prominent location for public viewing in the serving area.

Procedures: The unit supervisor will:
1. Listen to parent complaints or concerns, try to answer questions, and provide them with a discrimination complaint form to be completed. 2. The completed form will be forwarded to the district Child Nutrition Director who will then forward it on to the USDA.
